About Tajweed Trail

Short lessons, about 10 minutes each, that take a learner from knowing the letters to reading the mushaf without clear mistakes. For children with a parent, and for teens and adults returning to the Quran (choose the grown-up look in settings).

How the trail works

  • Six stages: where am I, sounds, marks, joining, the rules, and reading Juz 'Amma.
  • Clear mistakes first. Each lesson is marked as a clear mistake (lahn jaliy) or a fine point (lahn khafiy), so the mistakes that can change the meaning are fixed first.
  • Four steps in every lesson: hear it, see where it comes from, say it, show someone.
  • Nothing is locked. The path suggests the next lesson, and every lesson has its own link.

The tool doesn't judge recitation

A reciter's voice teaches each sound, and a person listens: a parent, a teacher or the learner. The tool only checks taps, such as which of two letters you heard. Tajweed is learned from a teacher, and this tool is there to help between classes.

Still being checked

The lessons are drafts. A teacher checks the teaching, then an asatiz signs off, before any lesson goes live. The mouth pictures are draft drawings, and the reciter's sounds are still to be recorded ("Sound coming soon").

The Quran text

The placement check shows Al-Fatihah and Al-Fath 48:29 from QuranExcel, copied by program and never typed or changed. The tajweed colours in later stages will come from a separate, credited source, checked surah by surah.

Privacy

No login. Lessons done, the check's result and any recordings stay on this device, under the child chosen in settings. Nothing about a child is sent anywhere.
